The Muncie Star Press is reporting today that "E-mail correspondence between Ball State's administrative leaders and former basketball coach Ronny Thompson shows the coach discussed resigning more than a month before his official departure on Friday, and his superiors tried to convince him to talk to the media to quell rumors that he would leave." If this is true, then it means that Ronny Thompson wanted to leave before the "anonymous notes" were left in the basketball offices.
